We drove up to Langley, Oklahoma - gorgeous 1 hour 15 minute drive through the country - and spent the day with my sister Kathi. She lives in a beautiful home they built on the bluff above Grand Lake. Folks around here call her Erin - whatever!!! lol
We took a lovely drive and especially loved the area below the dam where they have been letting out water and flooding many surrounding parks and fishing spots. The water is sparkling and we may have found the exact spot JJ found fossils in the stream when he was much, much younger!
She served us grilled hamburgers, corn on the cob and baked beans - followed by brownies - which I brought home as 'leftovers' and had for breakfast.
This was our first of many visits since we moved to Arkansas and you have no idea how wonderful it is to have my sister so close after so many years seeing her only during the holidays or on rare vacations. We have plans to spend some extra special time together in the coming months!!!
IT WAS A GRAND DAY!
