Joe, JJ and I looked at each other and realized we had a major case of cabin fever and needed to get out of the house to somewhere warmer. We moved to the middle of the country with the intent of exploring all of the wonderful places around us. We did not realize how long winter is and how freaking boring it is to stay in day after day in the cold and that when you can get out - winter has a way of making everywhere look exactly the same! SOLUTION ; ROAD TRIP
DAY 1 and DAY 2
Friday and Saturday - February 11-12, 2021
We decided to drive down through Texas toward the Gulf of Mexico and see how far we could get and how much we could see in about a week. Of course, JJ had a focus on visiting amusement parks and adding more roller coasters to his list.
We drove down to Dallas and after having a delicious lunch at In and Out and a stop at a Buckys for gas and snacks we navigated the very demanding freeway system to find a motel for the night. The next morning we dropped J off at Six Flags, drove to Dealey Plaza and spent a couple of hours reliving that awful day many years ago.
