So....we got home yesterday and saw on the TV that the Benton County Fair was in process and handily enough located about 5 miles away from our home. (wish we had known that yesterday - lol)
We could not determine from the internet how much it cost to go to the fair - $5.00, $10.00, $15.00 - whatever - we drove over and it was free and fabulous. The location is rolling green hills of farmland near our XNA airport and did you say animals? My goodness - we saw animals, met some nice folks - talked tractors - and ate fair food - Indian Tacos - for the second day in a row! HEAVEN!!!
The fair is fairly small but we really enjoyed it! Maybe because it was small? I grew up in LA so the LA County Fair in Pomona is my point of reference - so much walking and so hot! It was about 75 with a breeze, gorgeous sky and rain due the next day.
It turns out the fair is free and the fun zone which opens around 4:00pm is $10 or $15 depending on the day of the week and includes unlimited fun zone rides - that’s cool!
