MULTNOMAH FALLS FOR BREAKFAST, BEND FOR A BEER AND KEIZER FOR IN AND OUT

April 23, 2021

We were running out of time in Oregon so we planned a circle trip that started with a visit to Multnomah Falls for a last look at the falls and that delicious breakfast FINALLY served inside, at a table by a friendly server!  It was (as always) amazing!  Oh and so were the falls!  LOL

We drove on along the Columbia to Hood River and then drove around and through the mountains and Mt. Hood to Bend.  JJ's favorite IPA is Boneyard and their facility/restaurant is in Bend.  It was the perfect spot for a break and located about a mile from the last (on earth) Blockbuster.  Joe was disappointed that they were out of T shirts!  The town is charming and the river that runs through it - peaceful and picturesque!

We drove back to Keizer on the 5 freeway through the burned towns from last year's horrible fires and it was sad and eye opening how little has changed for those poor affected people.  Most of the towns folks are still living in motor homes, tents and shelter fashioned from boxes and pieces of wood with tarps over to keep our some of constant rain.

Even tho we were tired and not really HUNGRY - we still stopped at In and Out for dinner, knowing that it might be some time before we had that opportunity again.

It was a great day - we were in the car off and on for about 8 hours so we should be ready for that 2400 mile drive to Arkansas - right?  LOL
