Week of June 7th, 2021
It is hot and humid so we have been getting out and walking early or late and checking out areas close to home and there are ton!!!
We have a beautiful lake in a wooded park very close by in Centerton. They have a water park for the kids, a huge jungle gym and a gazebo you can reserve for picnics or ;arties. On the weekend families were fishing along the lake shore and actually catching fish! We also spotted turtles in the lake and a number of large white ducks. And the birds....omg.....we are in love with all the birds - especially the varieties we didn't see in California and Oregon like Bluebirds and Cardinals and Purple Finches.
Today we decided to go to the Momentary - an art gallery and center for visual, performing and culinary arts and for people to just hang out and enjoy each other and the beautiful and interesting surroundings. The Momentary is a satellite to Crystal Bridges occupying an old cheese factory and serves as host to a variety of programs, exhibitions, festivals and even Bocce Ball!
Everyone was busy staging a new exhibition so there was nothing for us to discover inside where it was air conditioned - and we were invited to walk around the grounds which we did for a few minutes - BUT IT WAS HOT! We chose to drive around Bentonville checking out the amazing homes we would love to own!!!
Tomorrow Joe is going to discover his new gym - which on our new health plan is absolutely FREE! No gimmicks, hidden charges - FREE. The gym is 2 miles from home and the people were so friendly when we went in to sign up I might even go - someday!!??

Thursday is my birthday and I am having a sister's day with Kathi Erin - I am driving up to Grand Lake in Oklahoma where she lives (just over an hour) and we are going to Tulsa to the Philbrook Museum to attend the Salvador Dali Exhibit and then somewhere special for lunch - details to follow - so excited!
