There are many towns, villages and cities surrounding our new home in Bentonville and we plan to explore each and every one!!! lol
Rogers is adjacent to Bentonville and where we spent our first night in the Holiday Inn Express, where we go to Top Golf, Target at the Mall and oh don't forget IHOP. We had the impression that it was the newer area next to Bentonville and from what we had seen along the 49 resembled Orange County, California. We only recently discovered that the town was established in 1881 and that there is a charming Historical District calling our name!!
Many of the old buildings are undergoing renovation - keeping the old and adding new, interesting shops and business ventures. Rogers got its start when the railroad came to town so there is a railroad influence in the public areas and especially the amazing park and playground.
Daisy Outdoor Products, known for its air rifles has it headquarters and Airgun Museum right in the center of town. It was closed as we were out early to avoid the heat but I have a feeling Joe will want to go back and spend some time there!
We had a wonderful morning walk around town and of course the drive (10 miles) is always so beautiful with green trees, fields, farms in every direction.
